... something borrowed, something blue
Whether we like it or not, life is just full of change. Change usually isn’t easy, but I would say I generally like it. I am the person that likes to change the living room furniture or find a new route to work. I like to meet new people, try new restaurants or get on a plane to explore a new place and culture. I get bored with the same-o, same-o. So here I am embracing some new changes…..a new office (still at the We-Do Professional Centre....we just placed musical chairs), new website, new blog, and renewed passion to serve my clients here at Card Ink. Fresh starts are fun!
The past couple of years have brought a whole lot of change for me….let’s just say a huge dump truck of change poured out on my lap all at once. I always wanted a house full of kids, and let me warn you to be careful what you wish for! I went from being a single girl to a married girl now living with a family of 6! My whirlwind of change started with my marriage to Scott, becoming the step-mom of our 3 kiddos (ages 10, 13, 16) and bringing little Mia Grace into the world (now 1 year old!). Have you ever learned how to raise teenagers and a newborn all at once (if so, I welcome all advice)? It’s been quite the adventure, and I have changed deeply…hopefully for the better. Change can be good, very good.
Honestly, I have always been a bit rebellious about starting a blog. Does the world really need to hear more from me? I get a little annoyed at all boasting found on social media. From what it seems, everyone seems to have perfect kids, husbands, Pinterest recipes for dinner, successful businesses and of course the baby that sleeps through the night. I want people to see me as real and genuine. I don’t have it all together, but I do want to continue to grow. Change pushes me to grow and growing is good. I will embrace this blog thing and the beauty of the internet that connects us all. I think we can learn and be inspired from one another.
I look forward to sharing more about gorgeous weddings,
unique invitations, my fun family, helpful hints, and my work at Card
Ink. I am so blessed to work with such wonderful clients and colleagues
and I am glad we get to share this life together.
